Yes, absolutely! All Candles with a K products are made from 100% natural soy wax, which burns cleaner and produces significantly less soot than traditional paraffin candles. Soy wax is a natural, plant-based alternative to paraffin, which is a petroleum byproduct. Here's why soy wax candles are the better choice: they burn cleaner with minimal soot, last up to 50% longer, carry fragrance more effectively, and are biodegradable and eco-friendly.
At Candles with a K, we use 100% natural soy wax in all our handmade scented candles, so you get a healthier, more sustainable burn every time. If you've been wondering whether to switch from paraffin to soy candles, the answer is a clear yes.
Keep the wick trimmed to about 1/4th inch at all times. This is done to avoid any soot accumulation on the wick of your candle.
For efficient scent diffusion, allow your candle to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the glass.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
Always burn the candle on an even, fire resistant surface.
Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight.

Dip the wick into the melted wax and then straighten it to prevent smoking and hot wax from splattering. Avoid blowing out.
Do not allow the candle to burn down completely to the bottom of the container, leave about 1/2 inch of wax. Our candles are designed for your safety; hence this 1/2 inch of wax doesn’t let the glass overheat. When your candle reaches this point, it is time to get a new one!
Burn time varies by product size. As a guide: our Votive Jar Candles burn for approximately 15–20 hours, our Standard 100ml Jar Candles for 25–30 hours, and our Iconic 200ml Jar Candles for 40–50 hours. Soy wax candles naturally last longer than paraffin alternatives, giving you better value. To maximize candle burn time, trim the wick to 5mm before each use and avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a stretch.
